A Simple Four-Step Workflow

Import
Import WAV or MP3 files from a USB drive or transfer audio through the USB-B computer connection.

Assign
Assign drums, bass, vocals, guitars, keyboards or other accompaniment files to the available tracks.

Adjust
Set HIGH and LOW levels, tempo, pitch and loops according to the way you want to practise or perform.

Play
Start synchronized playback, change projects and control the arrangement with the footswitches while you play.
Control without interrupting your playing
Shape Your Arrangement While You Play
Each of the four track footswitches changes its assigned track between an independently configured HIGH level and LOW level. The LOW level can reduce the track or mute it completely.
START / STOP ALL controls synchronized playback. PREVIOUS and NEXT change projects with a short press and provide fast navigation with a long press.
Tempo and pitch tools help adapt a song to the way you want to practise, while loop controls isolate a section that needs focused repetition.
Projects store their associated audio files, track names, levels, tempo, pitch and working settings for later use.
No cloud required
Built-In Offline AI Stem Separation
A complete song combines drums, bass, vocals, guitars, keyboards and other elements. BackAItrack can separate a compatible WAV or MP3 file into individual stems directly inside the pedal.
Select the stems you need, combine parts with the internal mixer and prepare backing tracks suited to your own practice, rehearsal or performance workflow.
Stem separation is performed locally on compact embedded hardware. Depending on the source file and the requested operation, processing typically takes around 20 to 25 times the track duration. This is an autonomous preparation tool rather than a real-time separation function.
Mono or stereo integration
Connections for Different Musical Setups
BackAItrack can operate with mono or stereo input and output configurations. Connect an instrument, keyboard, microphone or compatible analogue source, then route the result to amplification, a mixer, an audio interface or headphones.
The rear panel provides two combo XLR / 6.35 mm jack inputs, two 6.35 mm line outputs, a 6.35 mm headphone output, USB-A, USB-B and a 9 V DC centre-negative power input.
USB-A supports compatible USB drives for importing and copying WAV or MP3 files. USB-B connects BackAItrack to a PC or Mac for audio-file transfer and external backup.
